Product Description

*Erbium Metal/ Sputtering Target is a silver-gray active metal with a molecular formula of Er. The powder is easily self-igniting in the air and easily soluble in acid, insoluble in water. After exposure to oxygen in the air, it is very easy to exotherm into oxidized rare earth. 

*The package is sealed and must not be in contact with air. It should be stored separately from oxidants, acids, halogens, and food chemicals. Avoid mixing.

*Erbium has desirable optical properties which make them particularly useful in laser applications. For example, erbium-doped glasses are simple laser optical amplifiers and erbium is also a key component of fibers for optical communications. 

*Erbium also has a variety of other applications such as neutron-absorbing control rods for nuclear reactors, colorants for glasses, cubic zirconia and porcelain, cryocoolers. It is a raw materials for other Special alloys and hydrogen storage alloy additives, etc.
