*Praseodymium Fluoride is mainly used Praseodymium metal , non-ferrous alloys and laser crystal materials, coating materials. Praseodymium Fluoride is a chemical substance with a molecular formula of PrF3, a Light Green Powder, that is insoluble in water and soluble in acid. 

*It is usually prepared by reacting Praseodymium Carbonate and hydrofluoric acid to prepare a solution and then dehydrating at a high temperature.

*Praseodymium Fluoride is mainly used as raw materials for making Praseodymium Metal, and also applied in colour glasses and enamels; when mixed with certain other materials, praseodymium produces an intense clean yellow colour in glass.

*It is the main raw materials for making Praseodymium Metal, and also applied in colour glasses and enamels; when mixed with certain other materials, Praseodymium produces an intense clean yellow colour in glass. 

*Praseodymium is present in the rare earth mixture whose Fluoride forms the core of carbon arc lights which are used in the motion picture industry for studio lighting and projector lights. Doping Praseodymium in Fluoride glass allows it to be used as a single mode fiber optical amplifier.
