Product Description

*Terbium Fluoride is a chemical substance with a molecular formula of TbF3, a White Powder, that is insoluble in water and soluble in acid. It is usually prepared by reacting Terbium Carbonate and hydrofluoric acid to prepare a solution and then dehydrating at a high temperature.

*Terbium Chloride has important role as an activator for green phosphors used in colour TV tubes, is also used in special lasers and as a dopant in solid-state devices.  It is also used in alloys and in the production of electronic devices.

*Chloride compounds can conduct electricity when fused or dissolved in water. Terbium "green" phosphors (which fluoresce a brilliant lemon-yellow) are combined with divalent europium blue phosphors and trivalent europium red phosphors to provide the "trichromatic" lighting technology。

*Terbium chloride is often used as the raw material for terbium metal. Terbium metal is an important material for electronic devices and an additive for some special alloys such as Terfenol-D. Tb metal is also applied as a crucial part for magnetomechanical devices such as sonar and soundbugs.Trichromatic lighting provides much higher light output for a given amount of electrical energy than does incandescent lighting.
