Product Name

Ytterbium Chloride

Product Description

Ytterbium Chloride  is a chemical substance with a molecular formula of YbCl3• 6H2O, a White snow-like solid, soluble in water and deliquescent in humid air. It is generally prepared by reacting Ytterbium oxide and NH4Cl, preparing a solution and then concentrating and crystallizing.

Product Application

As a raw materials for other Luminescent materials, ceramic coupling agents, intermediate compounds and other industries. It is mainly used in the fields of Luminescent materials, ceramic coupling agents, intermediate compounds and other industries. Ytterbium Chloride is also applied to numerous fiber amplifier and fiber optic technologies, High purity grades are widely applied as a doping agent for garnet crystals in lasers a important colourant in glasses and porcelain enamel glazes. Ytterbium chloride is a powerful catalyst for the formation of acetals using trimethyl orthoformate. YbCl3 may be used as a calcium ion probe, in a fashion similar to a sodium ion probe, it is also used to track digestion in animals.
