Product Details

Bismuth is a soft metal. It is brittle when it is impure. Stable at room temperature. Bismuth does not react with oxygen or water and is stable in air. Conduction and thermal conductivity are poor. When heated above the melting point, it can burn, emit light blue flame, and produce bismuth trioxide. When heated, bismuth can also be combined with sulfur and halogen. Bismuth is insoluble in water, and insoluble in non-oxidizing acids (such as hydrochloric acid), even concentrated sulfuric acid and concentrated hydrochloric acid, react only slightly during co-heating, but can be dissolved in aqua regia and concentrated nitric acid.

Application
